FLYAWAY FARM ALPINE REFERENCE ANIMALS
BUCKS
Sunny is a good looking young buck. We have
freshened several daughters and are very pleased with how they are turning out. Lots of good
udders on both sides of this pedigree. Sonny is siring some very nice milkers
for Toehead Farm now! Semen is available 5/$100

Ulysses is an outstanding looking fellow and has sired a
bunch of nice offspring with "E" Mammaries in the Mt Zion and Towhee Farms herds. We can't thank
Shari and Fred enough for the loan of this wonderful sire! His dam is really a
beautiful doe and has some notable offspring in the Waiilatpu herd.
Shari finished one of Ulysses' daughters in one day at the
2002 Roseburg Triple Crown - see her picture at this link Mt

Hurricane is a medium size buck. I
admire his length of body, his dairyness and his pretty head. His dam had the best
rear udder in the herd and Rainman has had many outstanding offspring, so we are
looking forward to evaluating some of Hurricane's daughters. We had 2
outstanding daughters from 2005 and used him on some of our best does in 2006 which produced all bucks! Pictured below is Hurricane's dam Trinity and his daughter Toehead
Willabean. See
also his daughter Panama who has
shown quite well.

Thanks to Leslie Schaffer and Randy Hoach for
this well bred buck!
We got several nice doelings from Hunter this spring to evaluate, (see Lalaith

Rainbeaux finished her championship in 1999 with 2
BDIS, and has continued to show well every year at the few fairs we take her
to. She is a tall, long, broad chested, powerful doe with a capacious and well
attached udder. She has a daughter "Goodtree Glad Lindenwood"
that had milked 3,017# and HES appraised 91.9. Her grand dam Pied has been
3x Breed Leader. She has a couple sons working in various herds that appear
to be doing a good job. We may keep a buck ourselves this season, depending
on how the Sunny daughters freshen and what we get via AI.
Rainbeaux had twin does by Brandt's
Sunny in 2003.

Chamaeleon has a beautiful udder and is really nicely
blended with a long level topline and level wide rump. She is my favorite of
the Alpine does. She has had a number of first place wins, some RGCH wins
and most recently GCH at 2002 Newport Fair for her first GCH leg. She was
unfortunately dry in 2003 and has had some type of metabolic problem all
season.

Trinity has an outstanding udder as well as great general
appearance, a long neck and level top line and rump. Despite being a bit uneven she has had a couple of Best Alpine Udder wins as well as several firsts
and seconds including 2002, 2004 & 2005 State Fair. Trinity was GCH and Best Udder at the
2003 Benton County Fair and more recently GCH under Dianne Heaney at the 2005
Lincoln County fair, first place aged doe under John Gorman at the 05 Lane
County Fair and first placed aged doe at 05 Oregon State Fair.

Thank you Shari Reyna for this fine addition to our herd!
She is a long bodied, very smooth and stylish doe. Peace milked over 10 pounds on her first test
last year and
has milked pretty steadily despite the move. She is doing better at the shows
but is still quite nervous and lost quite a bit of weight while being hauled to
fairs. She is an extremely long and
dairy doe, with extreme dairy character, a long wide rump and fine silky skin. She was RGCH and best udder under Chris
Strickland at the Linn County Fair in 2003 has been a steady second and third at
the other shows. See her daughter "Harmony" by Sinbad and 05 doeling
"Panama" by Hurricane

Bittersweet has turned out extremely well,
with an exceptionally nice udder. She was 2x 1st in 2 shows during 2004, dry in
2005 and was RGCH and 3rd in her only two outings in 07. Her daughter Athena
by Hoach's Hollywood Hunter looks
good. Pictured on the left as a yearling and on the right as a 3 year old. We
are retaining her 07 "PennyRoyal" by Hurricane .

Broken Two Tone Chamoise SOLD

Harmony placed in the top half of her
classes during 2004 as a kid, JCH at the 05 Newport fair and 4th at Lane County fair
as a dry yearling and this year as a first fresh 2 year old she has been GCH at
Linn County Fair and 4th at Lane County Fair. She has a lovely silhouette and a
really socked on mammary. I think once she learns to relax in the show ring she
will do quite well, right now she likes to crouch and make those rear legs look
hocky.

Panama is a very long bodied, level & stylish
doe, who I like a lot. As a kid she was 1st at the 05 Lincoln County Fair,
1st and RJCH at the 05 Lane County Fair and 1st and RJCH at Oregon State
Fair.
In 2006 year as a dry yearling she was 2X JCH and 1XBJDIS. 1x1st at 07 Benton
Fair as a milker. She has freshened with a very nicely attached udder, and as a
second feshener her milk production has increased .
