We are in our third year with bees. They are fascinating little creatures and very independent minded girls!
Still lots to learn, but we are finally getting the golden reward - lots of pure unfiltered natural Oregon Blackberry and Wildflower honey! We are also expanding our horizons and have begun brewing Mead (honey beer or honey wine).
We are taking 8 hives with us to Oklahoma, where we hope to expand back to 12-15 hives. We hear there are Africanized bees in OK!!
